This exciting role will give an IT Engineer full responsibility for the software release cycle, covering all stages from configuration, including config of a new SCM system and migration of the current codebase to the new system.

Other duties include on-going maintenance or the release process and ensuring the company is constantly in a position to allow for expansion.

To Perform this role you will need:

• Previous experience in Websphere, JBoss or other similar Java application servers
• An expert knowledge and familiarity with SCM Tools, Serena Dimensions in particular
• Working knowledge of various platforms i.e. Solaris (x86), Linux
• Very Strong knowledge of scripting and batch files (Python, Shell, Perl)
• Experience using bug tracking tool JIRA
• Strong working experience in Maven & Ant (Absolutely Essential)
• Agile methodology such as scrum
• Be a team player

As part of the role you will provide guidance and leadership to your technical team. You’ll be responsible for both the implementation and rollout of new build and SCM tooling, as well as ensure industry best practices are adhered to. The Role:

The Person:
